Our international applicants should also be aware that the awards will are be paid to their learning institution in US Dollars.
For the DISC Scholarship search, it is the applicant's CREATIVITY and involvement that are deemed most important. We want to see you use your creativity and divergent thinking! The most weight in our scoring is applied to the creativity of the solution to our challenges, and the past and continued involvement of the applicant. Scholarship applicants may choose from the following tracks: Personal Essay, Internet and Presentation. The maximum award for the Essay track will be $500.00. Award amounts for the other two tracks will be higher determined by the quality, value and depth of the entries submitted.
Be aware that if you submit an entry for one of the tracks listed above, you are also eligible to apply for our $500 "Founder's Award."DISC established the Founders Scholarship in recognition and appreciation of VOMBO, the first booster organization for DI, and its founding members. The award will be given annually to the applicant that best exemplifies the spirit of VOMBO through volunteering in support of Destination ImagiNation and its mission. Applicants are required to tell us in 250 words or less why we should consider them for the Award. An applicant can only receive the award once.
